The new TTP-247 series of thermal transfer barcode printers offers more for your money than any other printer in its class. Based on the design of the previous bestseller TTP-245 Plus, the TTP-247 prints at an impressive 177.8mm per second, up to 101.6mm wide at 203 dpi resolution. The second model in the series, the TTP-345, offers high-resolution 300 dpi printing at 127mm per second. Both models have a generous memory capacity of 8 MB SDRAM and 4 MB Flash memory on the mainboard. An SDHC card reader on the mainboard allows the flash memory to be expanded by gigabytes.
The TTP-247 series offers USB 2.0, parallel and serial interfaces as standard, and an Ethernet interface as an option for use in any environment. The TSPL-EZ® printer control language is compatible with other TSC® printer control languages and offers TPLE (Translation Printer Language Eltron®) and TPLZ (Translation Printer Language Zebra®). The printer translates and prints any label format sent to it. TSPL-EZ® also offers internal scalable True Type fonts using Monotype® font management, which is otherwise only available for more expensive printers.
As with the TTP-245 Plus series, the user-friendly clamshell design of the TTP-247 series with double-wall construction allows for easy printer operation and offers the strongest thermal transfer mechanism in the industry. The innovative dual-gear motor design has sufficient power to handle 300-meter long ribbons and label rolls with an outer diameter of up to 213.4mm.
The two motors instead of a single one produce less torque, combined with a longer lifespan and less operating noise. Ribbon loading has become even easier. The TTP-247 series offers plenty of finger room to easily load and change ribbons. The 300m ribbon capacity is more than four times the industry standard for desktop printers.
The printer can accommodate label rolls with an outer diameter of up to 127mm on a 1" core. TSC's optional external label roll holder allows the use of label rolls with an outer diameter of up to 213.4mm on a 3" core.
