The new TTP-247 thermal transfer barcode printer series offers more performance for the money than any other printer in its class. Based on the design of the previous best-selling TTP-245 Plus, the TTP-247 runs at an impressive 177.8mm per second, printing up to 101.6mm wide at 203 dpi resolution. The second model in the series, the TTP-345, offers high-resolution 300 dpi printing at 127mm per second. Both models have a generous memory capacity of 8 MB SDRAM and 4 MB Flash memory on the motherboard. An SDHC card reader on the motherboard allows for Flash memory expansion by gigabytes.
The TTP-247 series offers USB 2.0, parallel, and serial interfaces as standard, and an Ethernet interface as an option for use in any environment. The TSPL-EZ® printer control language is compatible with other TSC® printer control languages and offers TPLE (Translation Printer Language Eltron®) and TPLZ (Translation Printer Language Zebra®). The printer translates any label format sent to it and prints it. TSPL-EZ® also offers internal scalable True Type fonts using Monotype® font management, which is otherwise only offered for more expensive printers.
Just like the TTP-245 Plus series, the user-friendly clamshell design of the TTP-247 series with double-walled construction allows for easy operation of the printer and offers the strongest thermal transfer mechanism in the industry. The innovative design with a dual geared motor has sufficient power to process 300-meter long ribbons and label rolls with an outer diameter of up to 213.4mm.
The two motors instead of a single one generate less torque, combined with a longer lifespan and less operating noise. Loading the ribbon has become even easier. The TTP-247 series offers plenty of finger room to easily load and change ribbons. The capacity of 300m ribbon length is more than four times the industrial standard for desktop printers.
The printer can accommodate label rolls with an outer diameter of up to 127 mm on a 1" core. TSC's optional external label roll holder allows the use of label rolls with an outer diameter of up to 213.4mm on a 3" core.
