Technical security device according to TR-3153, MicroSD form factor. With the "Law for the Protection against Manipulation of Digital Basic Records", the regulations for the use of POS systems and cash registers were significantly tightened by the Bundestag and Bundesrat in December 2016. Initial changes, such as the introduction of "cash register inspection", have already been in force since 2018. As of January 1, 2020, the core points of the new regulations will now become mandatory. These include the use of a so-called "certified Technical Security Device (TSE)" with the cash register, an obligation to issue receipts, and a reporting obligation for cash registers and Technical Security Devices. In addition, fines of up to 25,000 euros can be incurred in the event of violations of the newly introduced obligations as part of an administrative offense procedure.
