LI4278 - Linear Imager, USB-KIT, Bluetooth, white

The LI4278 sets new standards in 1D barcode scanning, enabling faster scanning from a greater distance. Employees can capture virtually any 1D barcode – whether printed barcodes on paper labels or electronic barcodes on the display of mobile phones, tablets, or computers, to facilitate, for example, the processing of loyalty cards or mobile coupons in retail. Even high-density (HD) barcodes, which are common in the manufacturing of electronic components, can be scanned effortlessly with the LI4278. 100% UPC barcodes can be captured from close range up to a distance of 76.2 cm, and 200% UPC barcodes even from a distance of 139.7 cm. Since barcodes can also be read from extreme angles, scanning is easier than ever. Employees thus spend less time aligning the scanner – and more time on their actual tasks. An optional charging cradle offers a presentation mode, allowing employees to use the scanner flexibly in handheld or hands-free operation.
Thanks to Bluetooth®, employees enjoy great freedom of movement without annoying cables. Cashiers, for example, can easily scan items from all sides, even outside the checkout area. Furthermore, Bluetooth v2.1 with EDR offers better encryption for enhanced security and increased radio performance. Other advantages include improved power management to ensure battery life for an entire shift, as well as easy Bluetooth connection to the host device.
The patent-pending single-board construction improves reliability compared to designs where multiple boards need to be connected. The intelligent battery power management enables a high number of scans per battery charge. Even scan-intensive applications are therefore no problem. You can also use the device in dusty and humid environments. Whether outdoors in bright sunlight or indoors in low light conditions – the scan line is always clearly visible. The device also withstands drops onto concrete. In addition, both charging cradles are designed for over 250,000 insertions.
