The new wireless barcode scanner AS-3350 from ARTDEV supports all standard 1D and 2D barcodes and features a visually appealing, unique housing design with intelligent, optical scan confirmation.
Its wireless data transmission between the handheld scanner and the base station has a range of approximately 10 meters. The base station is connected to the cash register or system via a USB cable and requires no additional power supply. Both the operation of the wireless connection to the handheld scanner and the charging function of the battery for wireless use are handled via the USB connection.
The internal lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 2200mAh supports an operating time of up to 16 hours or continuous scanning of up to 60,000 barcodes. The USB connection recharges the battery in approx. 4.5 hours.
The optics of the AS-3350 also support scanning barcodes from smartphone displays, as is the case for coupon codes or membership confirmations, for example.
Confirmation of successful barcode scans on the ARTDEV AS-3350 is either acoustic or optical via an LED ring on the top of the housing. This allows the AS-3350 to be used in environments that either do not permit acoustic confirmations, such as libraries, or where the ambient conditions are too loud to hear an acoustic confirmation.
